1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AskSlick ("the Service"), operated by AskSlick ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

AskSlick is a cash flow management tool designed for small business owners. The Service connects to your QuickBooks Online account to provide:

  • Cash position overview and runway calculations
  • Weekly cash flow projections
  • Financial posture guidance
  • AI-powered financial Q&A assistance
  • Historical check-in tracking

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

3. Account Registration and Security

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Ensuring your account information remains accurate and up-to-date

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Pricing

The Service is offered at $99 USD per month. All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, which will be added where required by law.

4.2 Free Trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial. No payment is required during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged.

4.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

4.5 Refunds

We do not provide refunds for subscription fees already paid, except where required by law. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us within 14 days of the charge.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Share your account credentials with others or allow others to use your account

6. Data and QuickBooks Connection

6.1 QuickBooks Authorization

To use the Service, you must authorize AskSlick to connect to your QuickBooks Online account. By connecting your account, you confirm that you have the authority to grant this access and that doing so does not violate any agreements with Intuit or any third party.

6.2 Read-Only Access

AskSlick accesses your QuickBooks data in read-only mode. We do not modify, delete, or write any data to your QuickBooks account. The data we access includes bank account balances, transactions, invoices, bills, and related financial information necessary to provide the Service.

6.3 Disconnecting

You may disconnect your QuickBooks account from AskSlick at any time through your account settings. Upon disconnection, we will no longer have access to your QuickBooks data. Note that some historical data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

6.4 Data Accuracy

The accuracy of the information provided by the Service depends on the accuracy and completeness of your QuickBooks data. We are not responsible for errors or omissions in your QuickBooks data or for decisions made based on inaccurate data.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 Not Financial Advice

THE SERVICE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL FINANCIAL, ACCOUNTING, TAX, OR LEGAL ADVICE. AskSlick provides informational tools and general guidance to help you understand your cash position. You should consult qualified professionals before making significant financial decisions.

7.2 Projections and Estimates

Any projections, forecasts, or estimates provided by the Service are based on historical data and assumptions that may not reflect actual future results. These projections are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as guarantees of future performance.

7.3 No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASKSLICK AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
